WHAT HAPPENED:
One ear and one udder had been removed, the genitals mutilated, and a
24-square-inch piece of hide had been taken from a 1,500-pound bison. The
bison had been found in its enclosure and the only tracks around the
carcass were those of other animals in the same pen.
