THIS DAY IN HISTORY (TDIH)
AUG-18 <<<< AUG-19 >>>> AUG-20
LOCATION:
Loch Morar, Inverness County, Scotland
WHAT HAPPENED:
The Loch Morar lies about 70 miles southwest of Loch Ness.
About 9 p.m. in the evening, a monster much like the one at Loch Ness nearly capsized two men out in a boat. Though it was late, it was still light enough to see the creature that had capsized them.
While on their way home across the Loch in their motor cruiser, Duncan MacDonnell and William Simpson fought to keep an enormous 25 to 30 foot long monster with a snake like head from swimming under and overturning their boat.
The incident was widely reported in many of the newspapers from around the world.
