THIS DAY IN HISTORY (TDIH)
MAY-25 <<<< MAY-26 >>>> MAY-27
LOCATION:
Nuremburg, Germany
WHAT HAPPENED:
A teenage boy wandered into Nuremburg, Germany on this date. He was
wearing tattered clothes and his bare feet were blistered. All he could
eat was bread and water and seemed to prefer darkness.
The extent of his speech was that he called all human beings "boy", a small toy he liked to play with, "horse", and, "I want to be a soldier like my father".
Yet within weeks, he acquired many adult skills, and soon told a tale of being confined for years in a room too small to stand in by a mysterious man. This same man had taught him to write his name and what little else he knew.
