WHAT HAPPENED:
The French Revolution began today, and along with it a series of rumours
which fed fuel to a kind of hysteria that began on the twentieth, in the
city of Nantes.
The rumours concerned an army that was gathering outside the town to restore order. Between then and August 6th, 1789, these rumors became almost commonplace throughout France.

Six bright red objects were reported by a pilot and co-pilot of a Pan
American DC-4 aircraft while they were flying over the vicinity of
Norfolk, Virginia.
