INDEX TO EVENTS ON THIS DAY (CLICK TO GO): 1968 [MON] Weird Stuff From The Sky (Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morris, Chunk Of Ice, Washington, D.C. USA)
LOCATION:
Washington, D.C. USA
WHAT HAPPENED:
On this day back in 1968, a chunk of ice "the size of a grapefruit" tore
a hole through the awning of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morris of 89
Elmira Avenue SW of Washington, D.C. The hole in
the aluminum, where the ice went through, looked like it had been burned.
How ice could burn, and where the darn thing came from to begin with, will probably never be answered.
