When I first started here, we used
to meet in her office at least once a
month to discuss my profanity and in-
ability to follow proper procedure.
     Those meetings almost always ended
with me screaming and yelling profan-
ities about some of the idiots that ran
things upstairs, the food-chain people.
She never told any of those idiots
what I said, because if she had, I
wouldn’t still be working here.
     “I really appreciate that you
haven’t told anyone else, but please,
you have no idea how much I don’t want
or need the publicity.”
“Ok, I don’t understand why, be-
cause most people would love the lime-
light, but I promise not to tell anyone
else.”
“Thank you,” I said, and then
* pointed to the Entrance to hell, “and
since you’re being so nice, I want you
to be the first to hear about the head
I saw in there. It looked just like
Bigfoot, except it had big buggy eyes
like an alien.”
She looked at me for a second, and
then laughed.
“I’m getting the hell out of here
before either this room or you drive me
crazy,” she said, and then walked out
the door, saying something about Beth,
that I didn’t totally catch.
I grabbed the two garbage bags and
dropped them off on the Dark-Side.
That’s where I was assigned to work,
but first, I had to go clean my second
room, the Surgical one.
