LOCATION:
Rio Grande Valley, TX USA
WHAT HAPPENED:
While playing in her backyard off Ed Carey Road located in South
Harlingen, Tracey Lawson, 11, and her cousin Jackie Davies, 14, noticed a
weird looking object almost a hundred yards away. They went and got some
binoculars and saw a horrible looking black bird well over four-feet tall
with a gorilla-like face.
As they watched in stunned silence, the bird suddenly disappeared. A few minutes later, it reappeared again in a different corner of the property. It peeked its head over a small group of trees. This was too much for the girls, so they immediately ran into the house and refused to leave for the rest of the afternoon.

RESEARCH NOTES:
One of our sources[2] not only described the bird as black and over
five-feet tall with large red eyes and a beak almost six-inches
long, but that it also produced a shrill prolonged "eee" sound.
